Inclusions, or noticeable specs within the stone, are naturally occurring. However, more rare and expensive stones have less or even no visible inclusions at all.

VVS2 - Very Very Slightly Included 2: Slightly more small inclusions than a VVS1. Still extremely difficult to see at 10x magnification.
