We don’t charge any customisation fees. Instead, we base the price on the amount of metal as well as the type, size and number of gemstones used. These factors, along with the complexity of your chosen design, determine the final price of your custom ring. Our team can work with you to create a design that reflects your preferences while staying within your preferred budget.

Once we’ve finalised the details with you, we’ll visualise your ring using computer-aided design (CAD) and get it to you within 5 business days. You’ll then have time to review and approve it. Once you’ve approved the CAD, your ring enters our standard 35-business-day crafting timeline.

The time you take to review and approve your CAD is additional to the crafting timeline, so approving your design quickly means we can begin crafting sooner. Read more about crafting times

Yes. You can choose from a range of gemstones, including lab-grown diamonds and lab-grown sapphires, as well as precious metals like yellow gold, white gold and platinum. All gemstones must be sourced through Cullen, so we’re unable to create a ring using a stone you already own. But if you have something specific in mind, our team can help source a gemstone that suits your design and preferences.

Yes. All custom Cullen engagement rings crafted in gold or platinum come with a lifetime manufacturing warranty, which protects against defects in materials and workmanship. This gives you peace of mind that your custom ring is made to our high standards and designed to last.

No, you can design your custom ring entirely online if you prefer. Yes. We take a considered approach to responsible sourcing and production across all of our jewellery, including custom rings.

Most importantly, we do not use mined diamonds. All Cullen diamonds and gemstones are lab-grown, meaning they are created in controlled laboratory environments, without the environmental disruption and potential human rights concerns associated with diamond mining. Lab-grown diamonds have the same beauty – and physical and chemical properties – as mined diamonds, without the need for mining.

We recognise that growing diamonds still requires significant energy. That’s why we offset the carbon emissions associated with the production of our diamonds through verified environmental projects. We provide proof of this to all our clients with a verifiable certificate.

Our commitment also extends to the materials used in our jewellery. We continue to increase our use of recycled precious metals and work with suppliers certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council, alongside initiatives focused on responsible sourcing, waste reduction and supplier accountability.

Yes, we can resize most custom Cullen rings, and we offer one complimentary resize within the first 12 months after we complete your ring. Because every custom design is unique, our jewellers will first assess your ring to determine whether we can safely resize it and how many sizes we can adjust it up or down. This helps us protect the ring’s structural integrity and preserve the details of your custom design.
